Community Hospital Immersion (4th Grade)
Focus: Medical Perspectives of Violence

Experiential learning immersion involves students visiting community hospital to meet with physicians, registered nurses, social workers, paramedics, respiratory therapists, EMT’s and Life Flight. Video segment highlights educational theory of Edger Dale (Dale’s Cone) in which students witness a dramatized stabbing and drug abuse emergency to enhance their learning on the medical consequences of violence.
