Piloted in Cleveland, Ohio (USA)

IMPROVE Program Designer/Director: Dr. Michael J. Whitely

Violence Prevention High School Consultant: Dr. Patricia Simpson

Experiential learning immersion involves students visiting local sites associated with violence. One such site is in Cleveland, Ohio at the Cuyahoga County Coroner’s Office. Students learn about scientific methods of investigating violence, safety measures to prevent violence, and how students can help eliminate violence within their own neighborhoods. Hands-on learning activities to enhance student learning is spotlighted in this segment.
