Northern Ireland Community Cooperation Initiative (NICCI)
Large-Scale Cross-Community School Program

Over 600 students from three Catholic and three Protestant schools in Northern Ireland participated in the experiential learning cross-community program.  A Kent State University research team monitored the students' attitude, behavior and cognition throughout the four-month project encompassing thirteen service-learning trips overseas.  Through qualitative analysis, the program was shown to decrease prejudicial attitudes among student participants.
